Jessica and Mike’s Rose Filled Summer Wedding

Hi Doll!

I am so glad to be back to blogging (hopefully on a weekly basis again)! This week I wanted to share Jessica and Mike’s rose filled summer wedding this past July at Cruiseport Gloucester. Jess is the definition of an MME bride! She loves pink, girly, sparkly, things and has phenomenal taste–she truly is a lady after my own heart!

Jess was a total dream to work with, and throughout the planning process we truly became friends which made her wedding day bittersweet. I was so happy to be part of this incredible celebration, but so sad we couldn’t have our regular calls to discuss all things weddings! Thankfully we keep in touch via social media so I can see all of the adorable photos of her–especially now that she’s got a little bun cooking! Ok, so I know you’re dying to dig into these gorgeous images captured by Alvah Reida Photography, but I want to tell you a little bit more about Jess, because I know you’re going to love her too!

One of the things I appreciated most about her, is that Jess is balls to the wall, no fear, going to go there with her design choices. And when you have great taste and a desire to push the envelope like Jess, that’s when the magic happens! Jess craved unique details in her wedding day. She wasn’t afraid to consider something just because it hadn’t been done before. In fact, that’s what usually drove her creative vision.(Cue a cake table with not 1, not 2, not 5, but 15 cakes!!!)

Our dynamic was so much fun because she was so full of ideas (and really good ones), so it was a super enjoyable challenge to help her bring those ideas to life. At times, that meant taking a good hard look at where we were allocating our budget in order to maximize the wow throughout her day, but I think we did a great job really focusing on the important and letting her and Mike’s love story take care of the rest.

I love you Jess! Thank you for trusting me to be your wedding planner, it was such a fun process, and a truly beautiful day. It was an honor being there to celebrate your love story with you, Mike, and Kenna as well as your family, and friends. To be honest, I wish we could do it every year–although Mike would probably kill us, or have a heart attack! 🙂

Jess’ enthusiasm for her big day was absolutely one of my favorite parts of working with her. I love brides who love wedding planning. Working with someone who is truly as enthusiastic as I am about creating an amazing party makes my job so much more fun–and makes me feel a little more sane!

Thanks for reading doll, and remember…
